The HFS-4 is officially here. We have preliminary product information, and this kit is hot. Many of the improvements are of a big benefit to both regular and Direct Injection applications. The main changes are new inputs and tuning functions to tailor the injection to the application, whatever in may be.
We recently had a call from a customer to install a system on his 99 Audi Wagon. The customer was concerned about having a tank in the car, so it was decided a fuel cell would be appropriate for the use of the car and system. So the car was dropped off and the install of an HFS-2 and fuel cell system began. We discovered that most of the rear floor of the truck has the fuel tank under it, so drilling a number of holes for mounting the tank wasn’t the best idea, and there wasn’t time to remove everything to get the fuel tank dropped. Therefore a aluminum brace that stretches across the car bolting to two anchor points was fabricated to hold the cell in the rear. Below you will find a few pictures, with many more in the Audi section of the Image Gallery. The install turned out pretty well with the HFS-2 button in the switch panel of the dash.
